Rich is a 'Lighting Lifer', spending his entire 23-year career in and around the lighting industry. After graduating from Glasgow Caledonian University with an Honours Degree in Building Services Engineering, he has worked in all disciplines in the Lighting Industry, from Engineering, Manufacturing, Distribution and Lighting Design.
Rich founded SSLD in 2025, which grew out of SoMA Studio, and uses his customer-focused approach to lead the operations of the studio and assumes responsibility for the overall project delivery as per the client's requirements.
